21.3.04

To start the week off right:

Hebrews 13

[20] May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, [21] equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

With all that is going on around us on a daily basis, such as the lies and half-truths being "reported" by the media as well as the recent news that having a lesbian woman "pastor" is okay.....the above verses are a needed reminder to whom we are ambassadors for.

In our business of what we think life is all about, all to often we neglect Christ, who He is and EXACTLY what He did for us on the cross. What a shame and dishonor we do to our risen Lord when we take for granted the suffering that He took on our behalf. It is extremely humbling to know that He finds us worthy to take such a beating that would render Him unrecognizeable to those who saw Him.

But take heart saints! The covenant we have with Him by the shedding of His blood is eternal. As we take up our cross daily He equips us for the days work that lies ahead. What we will face this week is not news to Him. All we need to do is to press on towards the goal and run the race faithfully.....to the end!

Let Colossians 3 reign in your heart this week.
